This is a story of Young-ju, an unwed mother who brings her son up with lots of love despite her personal hardship.
Young Joo (Park Jin Hee) was a bright and energetic girl who was in her last year of high school when she met Min Hyuk (Lee Chang Hoon) and his younger brother Woo Hyuk (Choi Min Yong), who is also a classmate of hers. The two siblings come from a rich household with no mother and just a bad-tempered dad. Min Hyuk and Young Joo fall in love with each other but his dad forbids their relationship. Finally, it comes down to Min Hyuk leaving his home to live with Young Joo. But on the way to his own wedding, Min Hyuk is killed in a tragic car accident. Young Joo is left pregnant and unmarried at the age of 18. Young Joo bravely makes the decision to have the baby and raise the baby herself. Woo Hyuk stays by her side as a friend and helps her through the years and soon enough, many years have passed. Woo Hyuk has always been in love with Young Joo but never told her because of his brother and father. But Young Joo meets Seung Jo (Ryu Jin), a lawyer friend of Min Hyuk's, and Seung Jo falls in love with Young Joo and doesn't care that she has a kid. But Young Joo has a hard time opening up again and learns how to fall in love and succeed through a career in design.
